About Fiddler's LaneOUR PHILOSOPHYParents are a child's first and most important teachers at home. Keeping that in mind, we feel that parents should have the opportunity to participate in their child's first educational experiences at school as well. Children and parents benefit equally from sharing their time and abilities with each other. Whether it is sharing a story together, building a castle from blocks, or visiting a museum, parents can rediscover the world through the eyes of their child. Helping out in the classroom, accompanying their children on field trips, or serving as administrators at our school, parents share in the total cooperative experience of Fiddler's Lane Nursery School. OUR PROGRAM We are a not-for-profit cooperative preschool with both morning and afternoon classes for 3 and 4 year-olds (Please click here to learn more how we define cooperative).
No discrimination is made as to race, religion or national origin. Children must be toilet trained prior to starting school. 3-year-old program: Tuesday and Thursday
A typical day at our school includes time for students
to engage in free play, small and large group art activities, circle time,
clean-up, nutritious snack, and gross motor play. Your child will have fun and
enjoy a pleasant, loving, and secure learning experience while developing
skills in the following areas: ~ Language skills ~ through
songs, rhymes, finger plays, stories, interactive play with peers, group
discussions, and show-and-tell. We follow the North Colonie School District for
vacations and school closings. (School begins the week after Labor Day and ends
after first week of June.) If you would like to read parent reviews or write your own review of Fiddler's Lane Nursery School, please click here. Home | About us | Our Facility | 3-year-old class | 4-year-old class | Special Events | Contact us |
